What are Permanent Cosmetics?

Permanent cosmetics is the process of implanting ink into the skin with ultra-fine disposable needle configurations with specially formulated pigments designed for the face, implanting into the first layer of skin.

Do permanent cosmetics hurt?

Everyone has different pain tolerance. A medical grade topical anesthetic is applied prior to procedure to ensure comfort and keep pain at a minimum.

How old do I have to be?

You must be 18 years of age for permanent makeup.

How long will my appointment be?

We factor in consult time and numbing time, Appointment time can vary from 1-2.5 hours.

Will I need a touch-up after my initial appointment?

Most clients require a touch-up session at least 4 weeks after the first session. The touch up appointment is the perfecting session.

How long will my brows last?

It is important to maintain your permanent makeup annually to keep them fresh as well as keeping the color fresh. Permanent makeup can last 1-3 years depending on exposure to the sun, lifestyle and skin type. Oily skin tends to fade quicker than dry skin.

am i a good candidate for permanent cosmetics?

Anyone with the following medical conditions/considerations is NOT a good candidate for permanent cosmetics:

· Diabetes
· Glaucoma
· Undergoing Chemotherapy (PLEASE consult with your Oncologist)- Must have written permission to undergo any type of micropigmentation during chemo treatments.
· Viral infections
· Had Botox or chemical peels within 14 days of appointment
· Had an organ transplant
· Epilepsy
· Signs/symptoms of a cold or FLU (cough, fever, chills, runny nose)
· Used Accutane in the past 6 months.
· Currently on Steroids, Cortisone or using Retin-A
· Pregnant and lactating women
· Taking blood thinners (aspirin, heparin, coumadin, eliquis, etc.)- Must have permission from your doctor if taking any blood thinning medications
· Skin diseases (Psoriasis, Eczema, undiagnosed rashes or blisters, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation)
· Any allergies to benzocaine, lidocaine, tetracaine, epinephrine (most topical anesthetics used contain these)
